After being abandoned in the eighteenth and nineteenth century by wealthy families who moved to the most modern cities such as Casablanca and Rabat, riads began to come alive again when some Moroccans and Europeans bought them again and became only places .Many of these houses have been restored in the 70s and open to the public as “guest house”, a kind of hotel but in a house with few rooms, offering a quiet family environment where privacy and tranquility prevails.
